On Wednesday, January 20, 2010, our Heavenly Father opened his arms and welcomed Doris H. (Kyle) Schroy to join her parents, James and Ethel (Pollock) Kyle; brothers, Robert, Donald and Joel; sisters, Betty and Naomi; and her beloved son, Wesley Jones.

She was born on February 18, 1922 in Huntingdon, PA. She graduated from Huntingdon High School and Huntingdon Secretarial School, then moved to the Harrisburg area, where she lived most of her life and retired from AMP Inc. She was a long time member of the Ridgeway Community Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed music, puzzles, her yearly vacations to Canada, and cherished all her time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her loving husband of 34 years, Thomas A. Schroy; sister, Greta Rainey, wife of Osborne of Huntingdon; daughter, Cynthia Russell of Harrisburg; son, Timothy Jones and wife, Jan of Hummelstown; daughter-in-law, Shirley Jones, wife of Wesley of Middletown; stepson, Richard Schroy and Donna of Millersburg; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris's kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

A tribute to her life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the Ridgeway Community Church of the Brethren, 525 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
