Catherine M. Plut Bratina Gish, 93, of Sunrise at LaCosta Assisted Living, Carlsbad , CA and formerly of Hummelstown, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 in Sunrise at LaCosta.

She was a former employee of Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown and a retired employee of the New Cumberland Army Depot. She was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church.

Catherine was the widow of Martin J. Bratina and Frederick B. Gish and is survived by one son, Martin “Herb” Bratina and his wife, Marilyn of St. Petersburg, FL; two daughters, Patricia M. Wentworth and her husband, Robert of Norfolk, VA and Carole A. Werling and her husband, Lester of Carlsbad, CA; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 am in St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St. , Swatara Twp. with Rev. David M. Hereshko, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery . A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St . , Steelton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, PO Box 266 , Enola , PA 17025 .
