Nicholas L. Acri, 91, of Frey Village Retirement Center , Middletown and formerly of 110 Roop St . , Highspire, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the Center.

He was a retired automatic welder for Bethlehem Steel Corp. and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton, United Steelworkers of American Local 1688, and a former member of the Merry Ann Senior Citizens Club.

Nick was the son of the late Frank and Beatrice Magaro Acri and the widower of Mary Elizabeth Lively Acri and is survived by two nieces, Esther Herb Byrd of Highspire and Michelle Weber of Cleona; three nephews, John Herb of Halifax, Glenn Meck II and Rick Meck, both of Lebanon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James M. Lyons, his pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery . A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St . , Steelton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, 815 S. Second St . , Steelton , PA 17113 .
